The Great CT Caper!

In the fall, I started work on a collaborative project that is pretty exciting. I am the illustrator for Chapter 2 of the Great CT Caper, which is a collaborative serial story which was organized by CT Humanities. It is a project where 12 authors and illustrators from CT provide a chapter of an online story geared toward middle-schoolers. The site has the story, a curriculum guide, and downloads and games. It is pretty great.

Throughout this project, I have been having a really great time exploring and drawing on location at CT state parks, meeting fellow artists and writers, meeting Amanda Roy and the folks at CT Humanities, and librarians and teachers from around the state at the Launch Party at the Wadsworth Atheneum, and looking forward to giving a drawing workshop at a party at the Peabody Musuem later on this spring.

Here is a link to the  CT Caper and a link to a blog by one of the authors, Katie Carroll. She is pretty amazing. A mom of a young child, an author and blogger and more. Check out her site and learn about the young adult novels she has written. She has blogged about the experience of the CT Caper was kind enough to interview me up regarding my chapter.

Thank you, Katie.
